Isaac, what i love about all of these posts is every time someone decides to tackle the repair, they discover some other step that saves the next person even more headache.

Well done, man! I was just telling paul there's no better feeling than repairing it yourself AND pocketing all the savings.

BTW my pulley was chewed up like yours and occurred after what appears to have been the bearings seizing. But i'll be damned, the belt just adapted and kept on pulleying haha

It was only after i got in there that i realized i was very lucky.

I'd say a round o' beers is in order for the lot of us!

nice job and congrats... and welcome to the club.

Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

The strangest thing of all is that I never heard any noise that told me that the tension pulley bearing was damaged ... It seems that the bearing simply did not complain about anything and gave its last sigh and then unleashed hell with all kinds of squeals.

I am now waiting for other spare parts to arrive to change my oil cooler, thermostat and also will do a ATF and Power Steering Flush.....I will open another post since I have some question regarding the flush and leave this post just for Serpentine belts comments

Michael, thx again for your time and help

Rgds

Isaac
