if you open the glove box can you then access the area behind the dash ?
whilst looking for the ipod module i noticed that there appears to be no surround to the glovebox i.e when open you can see and reach the wiring loom behind the dash.
is a bit of fascia missing or is the way it was built?

Thats the way it is. You can actually remove the entire glovebox quite easily...there is a little plastic catch that you press at the back to release it - then give it a tug up and forward. This gives access to a wiring loom and a connector block / fuse box.

Getting the glovebox back on is a little more tricky than removal but it isn't a big deal.
