Turn off folding mirrors?

on my 2010 XS Is there any way to turn off the folding mirrors?

Over the winter with all the snow and ice wedged by them they struggle to open and put strain on the motors

I believe it is a dealer (or somebody with an IIDTool) configurable option only.

Ah ok. Looks like I will have to run the kettle over them!

If I remember correctly, you can fold them out manually from locked and they’ll stay out. When you want to go back to normal, fold them in manually and then unlock the car. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Always fold my mirrors fully open and back again manually whilst the car is defrosting.

1. Start car up
2. Fold mirrors in via the switch on the drivers door.
3. Get out of car and now manually open the mirrors.
4. Switch car off
5. Double lock the vehicle
6. You should now be smiling as the doors have locked but the mirrors remain in the open position.
7. To reactive in spring simply press the door mirror buttons on the driver door card again. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior
