Know this is a bit of a curve ball but went to use tractor this morning after it's been standing for a few months. Drained petrol last time used and have refilled with fresh new petrol as well as fully charging battery before trying to start.

Thanks guys, will have another play tomorrow but battery charger is saying the battery is fully charged and what I don't get is if its the fuel not getting through or spark plug problems surely it would still turn over, but there's not even a clicking from the starter.

The starting solenoid that kicks in when you move the gear lever will have corroded contacts. They can be stripped and cleaned or buy a new one. It’s under the battery area attached to the upper gearbox bell-housing. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Join the Ferguson Club for just over £20 a year. They can provide lots of knowledge. The old workshop manuals etc are on the net. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
