Hooked Door Step. Thoughts?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/113477597328?ul_noapp=true

I saw this and thought that would be useful, then I looked where it was placed and I am unsure if its safe for the car or the person!
I guess if it was then it would be a useful addition to getting to clean the roof or load up the roof bars etc. 2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4

yes, it claims to hold up to 200kg.
I looked at those. I was going to use it as a 'quick step' to get into my sleeping pod, as opposed to getting the ladder fixed up, just to remove an item. Very Happy

Don't close the door when it is in place Mad

I'm around 120kg and although the site states the step itself is good for 'around 200' I'd question the integrity of the door bracket although I suppose it is only intended as a 'leg up' rather than to be used like a ladder. Apart from that, not a bad idea

my idea was store the step with a clothes peg, clip the peg on door, it might remind you not to shut the door when step is in situ, it may not At work

My main concern is thats a lot of weight to put on the frame wonder if it would distort the bracket or metal work? 2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4
