I'm not disagreeing with you Alex - you know your stuff and I trust what you say. I was just wondering how other users are faring using the home service method.

So would it still be worth me going to an LR indie and getting it reset, even though there's no warning on the dash? Just want to understand it fully so I can explain it and not just turn up asking for a warning to be reset that isn't there, if you follow. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

I understand what you said.

As a good practice, when one changes oil, both time/mileage timer and oil dilution timer (if DPF exists) must be reset.
Like, I said, in order for the ECU to have the new time origin for the next warning(s). And you to receive it at the correct time.
If these resets were missed, better to be done as soon as possible, for a reliable, later warning.

You'll just say to that indie, if it isn't the same as the one changed the oil, that the timers weren't reset when the oil was recently changed and you want them reset.
You want them done for your peace of mind.
The time/mileage timer can be verified if it was performed/reset, but the oil dilution timer not. At least not that I know of...
