Rear light upgrade and now no hightown level brake light.

I have done a search but not finding anything similar. As title says I fitted Land Rover LED rear lights and now I have noticed I have no high level brake light. New light work fine and when checking I thought I could not see the high level light coming on so I open the boot lid so I could see the light and no brake light. Build is ok. Reading other posts about rear light upgrade mentions no problems about high brake light. Any thoughts anyone?. GS Sd4 2012

Nothing as simple as a coincidental bulb failure in the high level light? I have just changed my working but very leaky brake light and the bulb in the old unit is pretty well blackened internally - can't see into it blackened. The bulb in the new unit is perfectly clear.

I seem to recall when I did my MY10 car it was a really straight forward swapping of plugs (same six pins, different layout) on the actual lights - five 'live' wires, one for each function in the cluster plus a single earth. If all the lights in the clusters are doing exactly as expected I can't imagine that you have somehow 'rewired' or 'unwired' the h/l brake light.

Your right in thinking it can’t be Rewired wrong I checked the light with a 12v battery to make sure all connections were soldered up properly before I installed the lights. And I always thought it would be the LED lights that would fail and need more modding. I’ll have an other look at it today while the weather is a little better than yesterday. GS Sd4 2012
