To be honest, I've not looked under the bonnet at the reservoir, but my local Indy is having a look tomorrow morning. They've relubed bits and bobs in the past and it helped for a short while. Its been fine for 2-3000 miles after the master cylinder was replaced , but has started again. I'd have thought a misplaced O ring might have shown up earlier, but thanks for input.

Suspected slight leak from slave cylinder = potential whole new clutch assembly in near future ! 50000 miles !! Not impressed. It's likely that the sticking went after the master cylinder was replaced just because the clutch had been bled, so might not have needed new master at all?? |

I suppose these modern internal clutch slave cylinders are better in one way ie no lever arm and couplings to wear out, but they are a PITA when the only problem is a leaking seal.

Mmmm. Seems incredible that a small cheap seal can lead to a gearbox out fix 😬 A lot of my journeys are stop / start motorways....but 50000 miles.😝😝😝 How can such things as brake pads last longer than a major clutch component |
