Info screen possible not working right

The info screen on my 2011 SD4 is showing inst MPG and I would like to see something else instead. According to the hand short presses on the i button should do this, but mine doesn't. I can zero the trip meter by holding the button down for a while, but it seems unable to do anything else.
Is this fixable?

Not sure what the i button is but on my 63 plate I toggle through the details you're after by pressing the end of the left stalk

Thanks for that. I knew I was getting it wrong but the handbook is not very clear.
