Shaky SD4

Hi there, I bought a 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE over the weekend, all is fine except for a serious shaking, like tyres out of balance, at about 50 mph and above. I have had the wheels tracked and balanced today, but it still does it. It starts near 50 but does not go away if I go faster. The tyre firm that did the balancing said that one of the tyres "has a lump". Could it be this or something more sinister and expensive causing the shaking?
Am returning it to the vendor tomorrow but would like suggestions please.

Chris

I am surprised they let you back on the road with a faulty tyre. Get that dealt with urgently as you also can't fault find further until that is dealt with.

All your tyres are better for being within 3mm of each other and the same make. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Did you buy the car from a dealer, if so, I would hope that it is their responsibility to provide you with a road worthy car.

Lump in in tyre structure is definitely unroadworthy.

I would think that 50mph is about the right speed to experience tyre/wheel imbalance. New tyres would be worth it if you intend to keep car -- Better Safe than Sorry -- FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

Hello again, thanks for the responses. Yes, I got the car from a dealer and am taking it back today. Slowly!
