I have been doing some searching around on the site and amongst all the door issues I have not found one which matches my doors problem

The door in question is (UK) drivers side rear door. The internal lock appears to operate correctly when locking/unlocking the car. I can open the car using the internal door handle, however I cannot open the door with the outside handle.

Any thoughts?

Doesn't sound electrical to me, more mechanical.

if all doors open from the inside ok, and unlock with the key fob ok, but only the drivers door doesn't open from the outside using the handle then I would be taking the door card off the drivers door and looking at the connection from the outer handle to the main lock mechanism.

Give the door by the handle a few blows with the hand, you may just get lucky. Otherwise as said card off and start ferreting. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
