Hi all

So after a full service and new pads I pull off today and hear a strange air noise, but like a whoosh. So had an initial look and could just about spot what looks like a split in the top hose.

Anyone know a rough cost of the hose? I believe you have to buy the top and bottom hose as a set?

Are the hoses the same for the TD4 and SD4?

Thanks for that, I think i have had some hoses from them before on an old freelander 1 I had. Is it worth just changing the top hose which has split or should I just buy the set and do both?

If it was me I would do both to ensure you are not stuck one wet cold night in the sticks with the girlfriend and the wife coming out to find you !  FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I went for just a cheap top hose, Seemed good quality and has done the job just fine.

Can you take some pics when you do the job? This sort of thing gets asked a lot and as the cars get older no doubt more of us will need to do the same  No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

You need to be aware that the lower hose is a right pain to get at! Also make sure that the new lower hose is the same dimensions as the old one. Sometimes they are slightly longer at the end that fits on the intercooler & will get worn by the air con pulley if not shortened before fitting!

Can anyone confirm what part number this is? im confused at all the different hoses. The image is rotated, the left side of the pic is actually the font of the car and you can see it looking down the font. Sheesh hard to explain.

Mine is the SD4, looking on here I can see someone said it might be 6K683A for a TD4, not sure if its the same for mine? 2010 HSE SD4 in Santorini black

Land Rover give the part number as lr002589 which is for the for the complete pipe set up, comprising of rigid pipe plus top and bottom rubber pipes.
Others seem to sell these 3 pipes separately all using the same part number.

ok quick update, purchased a silicone top hose from DPH. Fitted last night, didnt take any pics as it was literally just two jubilee clips. Accessible from front of car all be it a tight area to get a screwdriver into.

Hissing noise now gone and car back to normal  2010 HSE SD4 in Santorini black
