Powerful Uk roof rails and bars-opinions?

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking about mounting roof rails and bars in my Freelander 2, but the official dealer’s prices to get them ruined my day.

As a cheaper alternative, has anyone tried the ones from Powerful uk? https://www.powerfuluk.com/land-rover-free...06608.html

Any long term use feedback, please ?

I already have the Thule ones but I don’t really like how forward they go. U lose half of the roof’s surface.

Thanks in advance for your feedback! Bow down

In general, aftermarket rails and bars can suffer from powder coating flaking and therefore aluminium erosion.
Can't speak specifically about Powerful UK tho.

I have oem LR rails and bars fitted and finish is still excellent.

Also IMO if you're carrying anything e.g. Canoes/Kayaks/Bikes/Roofbox, then I'd only put my trust in oem LR parts. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

Powerful UK products in my experience are pretty good quality, but ive never had anything like roof bars off them.

its all budget dependant, purpose dependant and personal preference.

for my Evoque LR want over £600 for the roof rails and a further couple of hundred for the cross bars..... really not worth that much money IMO.

if you go for them, just keep an eye on them for powder coating issues and be wary of loading out to the maximum weight.

oh... and report back on the quality of them if you do buy them. Thumbs Up
