A main dealer with good staff seeing regular one brand faults is far better placed to do a cheaper job than an independent small garage in my opinion. Shame they do not. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Well, I have now! Just bought an A3 with the 1.4 TFSI engine. The water pump is belt driven but from the other end of the camshaft to the main timing belt. Annoying thing is with these cars is that VW in Europe recommend something like 120,000 miles or 10 years but the same car with the same engine when shipped to the Uk has a 5 year limit recommended by the importer, Audi U.K. irrespective of the miles covered. ![]() Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto Present: Audi A3 S Line. |
