I’ve 64 plate metropolis with lovely fancy wheels , the last time I washed the car two of the wheels were showing signs of bubbling under the darker part of the wheel . Obviously the wheel can’t be damaged in this area by kerbing.

No doubt you'll be told that it would have been a small stone chip that has pierced the lacquer, that has then allowed water ingress. Then sorry sir, it's "wear and tear". FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Colleague had all 4 alloys (diamond cut and polished) replaced on his Skoda Superb by dealer after lacquer started peeling Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Car is going in for a service and mot tomorrow so I’ll see what the dealer says . The bubbling is at the wheel nuts on one wheel and you can feel the lacquer coming offf on the inside on another.

It is caused by a dog. Get one of these signs to shift the problem!

What the service desk told me was that the 6 yr warranty was for panels rusting from the inside out. My wheels are rusting from the inside out . One of the reasons I bought a landrover was that the last 2 I had for 5 yrs each without a defect on the wheels .. I’ve had 3 fords and every alloy “rusted” , one car had rusty wheels within the first year so all 4 wheels were replaced.
