Personally I'd say they are all common problems. Mine has suffered all of them as well. Remap & blanking the egr solved the hesitation. Replacement rear light unit solved the condensation issue. Mirrors just need manual exercising & silicone lube every so often. Rear door lock the same but a bit of silicone lube also sorted that for now. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

Hi mate,the mirror exercise which you'll find on here is well worth doing copper grease seems to be the stuff but where I am so close to sea I used marine grease (which I had here ) and haven't touched them since.

What JulesK said. It spreads the grease across the bits and bats. Never use WD40 or similar.

I've posted on here about the rear light It will be most likely be around the top edge pointing inside,open the tailgate and check it out,mine was sorted with some black silicon and no problems since. |
