The west coast is busier this year than it has even been as people take advantage of the long dry spell having kept midgies at about 1/10 of their usual numbers. They will be back - and we will get quiet roads again. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own! |

At Fort William, you've only just dipped your toe into Scotland, Done a few tours on the bike and the higher you go the emptier the roads. |

The Isle of Skye is no busier than usual for this time of year. Plenty of empty roads, but camper vans and rental cars being driven erratically by foreigners can slow progress a little at times. Currently enjoying:
