clearly a low level drug dealer look as you would need to have a black car, with blacked out windows, lights and black wheels to be Mr Big Laughing

its looking really good, hope your not missing the D4 too much. FL2 are brilliant every day Land Rovers, Thumbs Up

Laughing

I have to say, the FL2 is a joy to drive, really responsive, steering is excellent and when inside it feels like a D4 anyway, SWMBO also loves driving it

Only real thing I miss is the lack of boot space and all the storage areas (My dog crate takes up so much space!)

But I now have the roof bars and picking up a used LR roof box on Friday, as well as storing things in the spare wheel area will help me thinks Thumbs Up

looks good Iguana, but I would shift the roof bars back a little if possible so the rear bar is in line with the vertical quarter glass line on the rear window and the front bar is in line with the B pillar.... supposed to be maximum strength points.

I carried 4 big blokes (including myself) 4 bikes, and all our gear for a February weekend biking and walking in Snowdonia (plus suitable beverages Whistle ) and we had plenty of room with the FL2 coping admirably in some very snowy conditions

Do these roof bars clamp around the body of the FL2?
If so you'd be limited as to how far you can move the rear one back whilst at the same time leaving a wide enough space to the front bar.

edited to add: just saw your last post, so no doubt sorted. Thumbs Up FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

I think I need to move box forward a fraction, but I think that looks good otherwise? Thumbs Up

Noting that first pic, the position of the roof bars is a little forward to that recommended by Pro Rack using the Whispbars .

They show the rear edge of the rear clip should be 57cm behind the door join on the B post, the rear edge of the front clip should be 18cm forward of the same door join.

Full size spare (Thanks to eBay) turned up today, fits in the hole, as well as Jack, tools and a few other things. Dog crate is strapped down on top, so holds it all in place - Also kepeing the 12v pump that came with the puncture kit

Mu old Disco 2 Jack also works a treat Thumbs Up

Next steps on the mods, is to fit the rack (using Roof box clamps) and see if the clamps ar elong enough for the box and rack together - gives room to carry things as well as what's in the box for long trips

It may be worth checking your trailer nose weight is not too heavy. The car is noticeable down at the rear compared to the front which could be a serious problem in an emergency situation. Derek Hill

It may be down at the rear but at 60mph ( max towing speed in the UK) the max nose weight is 220KG, providing the gross axle weight is not exceeded, though with a trailer like that you could not carry much or anything in the rear without exceeding the gross axle weight. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Cheers both Thumbs Up

The water tank is behind the rear axle of the trailer and it was empty yesterday for the test, when full with water, we measured the nose weight and it was 86 Kgs - Tank was positioned there specifically to add weight to the rear
[/url]

So hopefully allows quite a bit of KG's for the boot also Thumbs Up

Will take a few pics when camping and full of water at the weekend Thumbs Up
