United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Lago Grey
The time has come.

Well after 5 & a half years I have had to lose my favourite car. After my wife had a stroke last year she has never been able to get the handbrake on fully & has always found the Landy too big for her. We are both not getting any younger so decided to look for an automatic that would still be large enough to pull our caravan. In the end (rightly or wrongly) we have gone for a 2litre AWD Ford Kuga.
I would like to thank everyone involved in the Freel2 website, the information available is fantastic & the help I have had from fellow members has been invaluable. I will never forget my time owning this fantastic car.
Best wishes to everyone.

Yes Bob but she still finds the car too big & it was a choice of a 4 - 5 year old car with 40k on the clock or a smaller 9 month old Kuga with 9k. 2010 GS TD4e manual Lago Grey

I was curious enough about the dimensions to check and (purely out of academic interest) the Ford is 1” longer and 3” narrower (excluding mirrors in both cases).

The best of luck with the Kuga, I hope it does the job for you Thumbs Up

I had an Edge as an insurance company provided hire car... a bigger version of the Kuga I believe but it was the nicest Ford car I have ever driven... I thought at the time that if the FL2 went, an Edge may be the replacement.
