Spare wheels and Low profile tyres

I've never had a car without a spare wheel of some sort (so far always a full size matching) and I think the story here explains why I think this current trend for cars without anything says it all.

The use of large wheels and low profile rubber just makes the case to have a spare of some sort all the more important.

Having had a Jag with low profile tyres and suffered side wall blow out on the M1 with only a gunge kit I now ALWAYSequip my vehicles with full size spare matching those already on the car. No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS
