United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey
Too expensive or a good buy?

This has just popped up for sale. Mileage is very low which suggests it has either stood doing nothing for long periods or just used for short shopping trips. Overpriced for a pre DPF car or should you view it as nearly new?

It’s a shame that it’s missing 3 annual services though.

It’s interesting and unusual, but that kind of money is main dealer price for something 4 years younger - the pricing is a bit brave.

Perhaps they’ll publish some photos when once it’s been repainted Rolling Eyes

Funnily enough, my wife’s first car was a 1 owner, 20,000 miler, which had needed a near complete respray (only the roof escaped!) due to the carelessness of its first, elderly, owner Shocked

I shall watch this advert with interest...

It will be due a cambelt change next year on age, as the MOT is 6 months out on the registration date I suspect it has been either laid up or used on the continent. ( mot on registered in country of use) laid up is the better bet and the missing services. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

The dealer does seem to have some half decent motors in stock.
Would be interesting to see the FL2 pics when they appear.

I don’t think by missing 3 services will harm it in any way, it’s been serviced on average every 2,500 miles, wow now that is overkill Very Happy looking @ the garage it has very good reviews. But hang on lads that 15,000 might be 2nd time round the clock Laughing

I agree , no point at all in over-servicing a car . What is to be gained ? However the standing around and low mileage is more of a concern. Still as long as someone is happy with the deal that is all there is to it . If people are willing to pay daft money , dealers will be willing to take it . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

@ Jack frost & MartynB: It all depends on when the services were missed. It might not have been serviced for the last 3 years and the coolant might not have been changed for a while before that, which might add up to very old and corrosive coolant.
