I’ve been with BT for years and years and every year the price of the broadband goes up and I need to fight with them to keep the increase within reason.

perhaps you should think about changing your provider. Plusnet have an online deal at the moment. Unlimited fibre extra (up to 70mb) including line rental for £27.50 pm. Ive been with PN for years now, although BT now own them they are really good. Fist class customer support etc. Take alook www.plus.net |

Zen internet get high satisfaction ratings, no idea if it’s the greatest deal since sliced bread but in many years being a customer it just works and no constant hike in prices. Worth checking out

Dorset village 14Mb which is more than adequate for us. My family in North Devon however, averages around 2Mb/sec and the broadband line to the milking robots gets around 5Mb on a good day from the same telegraph pole (yes the cows get faster wifi). All with BT 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

broadband speed varies enormously depending on your location, someone in an urban well populated area will invariably have a higher speed than someone who lives in a rural area.

Have been with BT for many years but got fed up with being ripped off with increases at renewal so looked around & was going to go Plus Net if BT didn't offer any loyalty discount. Called BT & got told no deal so asked why new customers could get same unlimited service as me but for less than half what I was being asked to pay? Was told it was all about hitting targets for new customers... Asked if if could take out a new contract & told 'off record' yes I could so went online & did new contract then cancelled old contract & asked to take over line at my address. Got a letter from BT saying a new customer wanted to take my line over so confirmed OK & on designated date all changed. Initially had a new phone number allocated but made a request to keep old number & next day it was reassigned. |
