Hi all,

Due to a upcoming house purchase and the fact we're stretching ourselves a little, I'm moving to a FL2 from a 2015 Disco 4 HSE Lux and today placed a deposit on a 2014 HSE with 57k miles in Loire Blue.

Was quite impressed with the test drive today, really feels like a LR and nothing like those soft 4x4's out there

Will be picking it up from LR Taunton on the 29th June, I now have 2 weeks to sell the Disco

Looking forward to learning much from this forum, but will still pop into the Disco forum also

Forgot to take pics today, but will do so when I pick it up

Only mods planned mods at the will be
- Roof Bars
- Trans K9 Dog Crate

OMG you will be slumming it 2014 HSE

I did the same a few years back when I semi retired and didn't have deep pockets to run the D4.
FL2 has been flawless over that time in comparison to my D3 & D4.
A bit less interior room, but does the job well ...... and much cheaper.
Enjoy it and the new house.  FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

Bought a FL2 for SWMBO earlier this year & very impressed with it, however, not in the same class as a D4

Another escapee from the Disco3 forum. I've read many of your posts on that forum.

Its a bit more civilised over here, more of a gentlemans (or gentlewomans/gentlepersons/gentlenonspecific) club than the rabble on Disco3, but just as helpful . Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018

I do recognize some of the names on here, so can see that many have escaped

My D4 is now up for sale on the D4 forum, going to give it a week and if no joy then of to WBAC, as their offer was very good (Will strip off everything first though )

Finding a dog crate will be the challenge now!

I really enjoyed the test drive, yes it's not a D3 or 4, but gears were very smooth, you sit in a pretty good command position and engine was very responsive with plenty of low down grunt.

Only real worry is lack of space in the back, so for our Scotland trips, I think we'll need to get a set of bars and a box to sit on the roof

Have a look in the for sale section as there was a dog cage advertised recently cannot remember by who

Must be nice seeing the Mother country from where you are

Thanks for the tip, I think a double will be too big, we currently have both in a single and they have plenty of room to both stretch out and sleep. But I think the FL2 one is not as long as the D4 one?

D4 went this morning, FL2 planned for 9am pick up Thursday
