LR diagnostic code reader

Just seen this pop up on my Facebook. Seems like a good set up to at a good price.

This iCarsoft LR II Scanner is a stand alone hand held diagnosis system that performs full system Land Rover diagnostic procedures. It quickly reads, clears and resets Land Rover fault codes and service function interval warning messages, as well as accurately reads and graphs live data at a fraction of the cost of conventional scan tools. The iCarsoft LR II Scanner features a full color 4 inch screen and 6 foot long OBD II connection cable. Includes a USB cable, user's manual, TF card, TF card reader and nylon storage case. iCarsoft vehicle software updates are web accessible at no additional charge. Performs all OBDII / EOBD test diagnostic functions on the following Land Rover models. It comes already UNLOCKED FOR ALL VEHICLES:

Discovery 2 1999 -2004
Discovery 3 and 4 2004-2013
Freelander 1999-2007
Freelander 2 2008-2013
Range Rover 1999-2013
Range Rover Sport 2005-2013
Range Rover Evoque 2012-2013

Performs Oil, Brake, SAS and ETC service reset functions on 2003 and newer Land Rover models

Performs full diagnostics system test procedures and clears ABS, EPB, SBC, ETC, SRS and ECU fault codes.

NOTE: This is a full Land Rover specific vehicle systems diagnostic tool used for diagnosing, clearing Land Rover vehicle faults and resetting service function lights. It is not a vehicle systems programming tool. We use it in our workshop as a quick and easy alternative to our factory SDD system. This iCarsoft LR II Scanner also does Jaguar, all models, 1994-2014. It is the fastest and most comprehensive diagnostic tool we offer. Only £129.00 exc VAT (£154.80 inc VAT). http://www.paddockspares.com/icarsoft-lr-i...overs.html

So its no good for the 2014 onwards models then?
Same as the Haynes manual, says up to 64 reg, then when you buy it you find it doesnt cover them at all. Rolling Eyes

Has anyone bought one of these or had one to test?
Does it reset the General / Annual Service and Oil Service lights?
The manufactures website seems to confirm it does but a lot of money if in practice doesn’t do both. Gone:

I made an enquiry with the US manufacturer and I’ve had a message to inform me that the Freelander 2 MY 2013 TD4 is not currently covered (only up to MY 2013). It may be updated in the future but no idea of timescales. Gone:

Updated software

I recently made an enquiry about this code reader for my 2014 reg XS. John stated that I could either try one as it has 30 day refund, or wait till Mid June when they were expecting updated software from US. They will then list again on E-Bay. I'm going to wait a month and see what happens.

The answer is no. Even the GAP iid won't do key programming on the FL2

I had a nanocom for my discovery but blackbox who make it hadn’t an update for 2014 year freelander either so sold it. I’ll replace it with something suitable for the freelander when I need it. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

looks like it's from 2008 as well, so my 2007 isn't covered. Common sense isn't very common.
