Its always going to be a gamble - such is life.
But compared to the extended BMW warranty I used to have, the LR extended warranty at the time was very expensive, so I didnt bother with it.
Others on here have agreed and suggested you would be better just putting the money aside for potential problems and will most likely have money to spend when you sell the car as you will probably not use it.

To a certain extent it depends if you are DIY inclined or prepared to have preventative rather than reactive maintenance as IMO manufacturer service schedules are more about keeping service costs down in the early years as opposed to preventing major failure in later years.

As above. I was quoted £960 last October for an extra years LR warranty on my 2012 Evoque. I declined and (in my mind) put the money aside. So far, I still (also in my mind!) have all of it although I have replaced the battery (not covered by warranty anyway) and I also changed my Haldex oil and filter a few months ago. Next on my list is to change the auto box fluid. I also do a mid-service oil change only. It’s got 45K on the clock and I do around 10K per year Fingers crossed! Laughing Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

im not DIY inclined at all, but would get preventative maintenance done, cant believe LR recommend a cambelt at 10 yrs.

Maybe putting money aside better, i just need to look for a well loved Fl2 thats had more routine servicing than LR recommend.

I called LR to get a quote on a service price wise, wasnt easiest question to answer but on a 10 yr service the haldex is extra.

Now if i wasnt aware of it i would of thought i be getting a full service that the vehicle required, wouldnt of known to ask about the haldex.

I have been told by my Landrover dealer that service pricing is now fixed on the FL2 and all dealers should charge the same price?
A service - £275.00
B service - £350.00
This seems reasonable to me so mine is booked in for its scheduled A service next week.

It must depend on the dealer. I got s B service at Yeovillandrover in March for £350 but Salisbury and Christchurch wanted silly money. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto
