Saw this in the local paper, apparently Westover are spending around £12m on a showroom and service centre. Presumably if they don't do this they will lose their franchise. The premium brands seem to be going a bit OTT these days. There is a huge new Audi centre in Poole. Now I wonder who is paying for all this ultimately ?

Bought my car from Listers in Droitwich - the facility was out of this world with Italian marbled bogs and fancy fittings coupled with hot and cold receptionists plying you with coffee or soft drinks. Acres of space to show off the entire Jag and LR offerings and a huge service centre including body shop.In the meantime independent M J Fews of Charfield Glos lost their franchise but at least still retain the servicing franchise. MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Drove past the Landrover dealership in Canterbury today. The site is totally boarded up and major construction going on. Looks like another mega showroom under construction. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

New Taunton landrover/Jaguar showroom and workshop opening in June looks very posh,no doubt reflected in the labour rates! |

We recently took my wife’s Mini to the local BMW/Mini franchise. Part of the site was closed off, building work everywhere. Why , what’s wrong with it as it is I asked reception? If we don’t do it we lose the franchise was the reply. So, not just JLR. 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto |
