Anyone recommend a reliable independent workshop in Derbys/Notts/Sth Yorks please. I am located at M1 Jcn 29 / 29A and need a new rear wheel bearing fitting.

if you cant get into him try Colemans Garage just of J28 towards Mansfield (on the roundabout opposite Macarthur Glen and next to McDondalds)
Used them for years for all sorts of work and they are excellent IMO

Cavendish - recommended? Looked at the website but short of reviews so personal recommendation?

I was ripped off the last time I picked an indie from t'internet (in Hertfordshire) with my last FL2 so a little cautious about just diving in blind.

Don't mind the cost... just want it done right first time

Another recomendation for Infield from me. Used them for a few years and they really are good.

Thanks all... booked into Colemans along with wife's car for her MoT test. It was McArthur Glen that determined who she would let me choose

Matt who owns the place is a great guy, admittedly they aren't the cheapest around however they will only fit decent quality parts unless the owner insists on cheap Chinese (i.e. their default brakes are normally Bosch) and they wont quote or charge for unnecessary work. Personally I would trust them with anything (the are getting quite a good rep for doing body off Discovery turbo replacements )

All done at Colemans Garage... wife's car passed MoT test with no advisories and no suggestion of any work needed. FL2 wheel bearing changed and car washed. It's like driving a different car without the wheel bearing grinding away like a knackered jet engine.

I'd certainly go back there... Cheers Rog.

they are very straight with their MOT testing, nothing less and nothing more than what is required to pass but will tell you if anything is highlighted outside of the MOT requirements so ive always felt confident going there of an honest job.

they have also just become one of a very few fully authorised LUK clutch installation garages (they did a previous FL2 clutch/flywheel for me)

they have also become very quick and competent in body off jobs on D3/D4/RRS
