Sounds like the door latch has gone - seems to be a common problem on these cars

If you press the button near the handle shut the door and press the remote button the door should lock. |

The first press of the fob locks the car second dead locks it. Sometime the dead lock will work when one press doesn't. Mine on its why out and three presses seems to do the trick at the moment. I got a replacement from ebay for £45.....just need to get round to fitting it. |

hi i tried this press the button near the handle shut the door and press the remote button and all is ok now the door locks as it shod
