3.2 petrol si6 fuel filter

Hi All , this is my first post.my 3.2si6 MY10 is having fuel issues, stalling at low rpms and occasionally failing to start. Happens less when the tank is full. Want to try replacing fuel filter before trying anything major. Can anyone point me to any references to location/ procedure for this. I do not have a service manual. Thanks

For the Si4 engine it is in the fuel tank & gets replaced at 90k km, & it is not cheap, that's what my mechanic told me. Have you tried 98 fuel?

Previous car experience 250,000 km which I have carried over to the Freelander, I only use 98 in the Freelander or 95 if I can't get 98 in the outback, the extra you pay for the fuel is recouped in extra km & less fuel filters! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I think it's in the fuel tank with the pump, Censored to do though. Common sense isn't very common.
