Between 2010 and 2016, D4 had 2x CAN architecture changes, one minor, one major. The later, major one was not carried into L320, as far as I know, as L494 was already near release. Unfortunately I'm not too knowledgeable about L320 but I would expect a 12my RRS FCDIM to be quite different to a 14my D4.

Exactly what Vanny said! I can tell you now that the CAN file for 2016 L319 will be completely different, 2016 was a breakpoint for L319 CAN and went from Dual CAN to Multi CAN.

Thanks Gents, I really want to go ahead with this so I think it’s time for a plan change. I paid £50 for this unit so I think I’ll pop it back on eBay for £50 and try and get an L320 module from 2012/13. I’ll probably have to do some research on which would be correct as there’s quite a few variations shown (1 with the square JAE connectors but I think they’ve listed it wrong). I’ll probably also fit cameras similar or the same as Stuart’s fitted in the mirrors as they should fit the existing holes (or I can enlarge as required.

You’ll need to fit the Larger cameras/Fakra type not the small fakra ones as I’ve fitted as the L320 was never fitted with the smaller generation cameras.

The Evoque mirrors also have wade sensors, have you seen any CCF for enabling these?

Hi, does anyone know what style of plug is on the MY14+ camera module? The one with square plugs.

The square plugs are JAE and you can’t swap JAE & Fakra HSD cables as the SW is different between the 2 various version. MY15

Thanks Stuart. The cameras and IPMB are all 2014 with the JAE connectors. As i already have the main Fakra looms was looking to convert these cables as its still the same amount of cores.

I’ve managed to get mine working now, I found that GAP have updated the untested list with surround camera so activated that, plugged in the IPMB and camera and it works. Just need some cables which are proving difficult to source. The link above looks promising so will email them and see if they can supply individual leads made to measure.
