Any diesel professors on here Hyundai Terracan fault

Hi all
My other car is a 2004 Hyundai Terracan 2.9crdi
with 70k on it full history.

Engine will not start
Pulled up at local shop came out and turns over but will not start.
left it overnight to arrange a tow, got in it next morning, it started and drove home, parked it up and would not start 2 hours later(same turning over)
Nothing on diagnostic machine
Fuel is getting to the Injection pump.
I was thinking it could be an immobiliser stuck on?? (how can I check) I have tried both keys..

Any help please.. it's my greenlane/fishing car

Cheers ugg Don't wait for your Ship to come in.. Swim out and meet the Bl**dy thing (Barry Sheene)

Hi Ugg
Don't know anything in particular about Hyundai but some cars have a dashboard immobiliser light that flashes slow, fast or steady depending on whether its set or not. If yours has something like that it could give a clue. Thumbs Up Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Old Hyundai's suffer from crankshaft sensor problems, many examples at HOCGB, also get genuine replacements as there are many reports of intermittent faults with non Hyundai parts. http://www.hyundaiownersclub.co.uk my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
