Could be several reasons to include a duff battery, so if its original its time for a change. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Yes its the original one my FL2 is a 2013 ,so maybe worth changing, was thinking about doing it before the winter ,thank you

Fit a battery get a cheap code reader and take note of codes and clear them and see what happens with new battery. Cheapest option as you are due a battery. Hard re-set it as well. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Once battery is out of its cradle put the leads (plus and minus) together for 10 minutes to fully discharge the system.

Tayna batteries are not badly priced and you need a stop start one like this and sign up to their newsletter for a further discount.

'Gearbox fault Traction Reduced'

Had this fault after I left a site in the south of France whilst towing last month, it drives perfectly well other than the car becomes front wheel drive only. Wheels scrabbling whilst pulling away at roundabouts etc, it will do no harm until fixed as the car disables the rear drive automatically due to a Haldex problem.
The fault message showed in the dash all day but overnight after a complete shutdown, it reset itself on startup the next day and has not appeared since.

Now back in the UK it has been into my local dealer (extended warranty) and the code(s) read. Haldex/parts ordered for fitting in two weeks time, general consensus when on the phone to them at the time it happened was the filter partially blocked.

Just my experience of this message.

Probably what it is Stratstone Cardif cant book it in fo a month ,Newport Stratstone said phone Landrover assistant they are coming out this morning, they can then decide what to do its on extended warranty, Newport Stratstone can book it for next week ,

Apologise for that i just had terrible service off Stratstone Cardiff trying to even get through to the service department took Twelve attempts until i lost it on the phone with one of the numptys ,its very very frustrating dealing with them ,eventually got through and they then said they couldn’t book it in for a month lol , then Phoned Newport Stratstone slightly better the suggested Landrover assist and they can book it in next week, so a very frustrating day ,

I had exactly the same fault with mine a few weeks after buying - thankfully approved used.
From what I was told it was the Haldex pump that had failed so warranty covered its replacement.

Try Likes Land Rover Hay on Wye - Stratstone Cardiff or Newport would be a fair bit closer for me but I rather go further as never had good experiences with Stratstone.

Apparently there is one in Swansea too ,its booked into Newport now ,for next week fingers crossed .Landrover assist came out and did a software update,and sent emails to them ,so hope it’s resolved next week, thank you

It is definitely worth giving the battery a good charge before you do anything else as you may be pleasantly surprised

Its the original one so I will get a new one ,it’s been on the car since new 5 years old now
