Extremely likely

if the battery is on its way out, best to fully charge or change it anyway. Just because car cranks ok is no indication that battery is good enough. These cars are very susceptible to any slight voltage drop and can throw up all sorts of other errors

I see yours is a MY 14 so battery is around 4 years old so you would have thought it should be ok for at least another year. Try giving it a good recharge on a ceetek or similar. ......have you just had a succession of short journeys??

Steve

That battery sounds surprisingly cheap from Land Rover.

It came in a landrover box with a part number, it was a varta battery, I have fitted the new battery and as yet have had no low voltage or gearbox fault alarms hopefully thats the problem solved.
Rimmer Brothers are selling the same battery for £150.00 part number LR038128

The gearbox and HDC fault messages were some of the symptoms of the bad earth that made people fit the additional earth strap so I suspect your gearbox is OK and it's just the message that came up as there wasn't enough juice to power all the systems 2007 TD4 XS Manual in Sumatra Black
