Safely reset ECU

Hi to all
Rather new on the forum, done lots of reading and first topic start for me....
Bought my FL2 2011 just a couple of moths ago. Am enjoying it a lot, but do have an issue in heavy traffic, where the FL tends to hesitate when accelerating from stand stil. As I'm focused on it quite a lot lately it makes my driving experience a little less. Since I do not know too much about the history of the car I wanted to reset the ECU just to clear out any issues there. Read some stories about it, but am a little bit hesitating what would be the best way to diy. Hope you can give me some advise.
Specs: 2011 2.2 SD4 with 104k km.
Many thanks

Hi
To safely reset i'd disconnect the battery for 15 mins then reconnect, after which you'll need to reset the windows Thumbs Up
