It will be a great shame to see so much progress in motor manufacturing in the UK undone over the next couple of years and beyond and sincerely hope we don’t get used to seeing factory closures once again.

I’d dispute that diesel is dead. Sure, there will be a shake out of a number of lightweights who never needed a diesel in the first place (think low mileage supermini diesel drivers) and/or the readers of the grotty little tabloids that brought about the histeria in the first place

However, for high mileage business users, nothing comes close to matching diesel and if I had to buy my own 6 month old FF again, it’s be diesel once again
