Hi everyone. I am soon to take up ownership of a Freelander SD4 xs two thousand and twelve Sorry numbers have packed up on iPad! Anyone got any tips etc and also how do I pimp my ride? Anything you have added that on reflection you cNnot live without?

First,y I'm a girlly gentlemen! Second I'm 58 so no youngster! So what I am enquiringly is if there are any enhancements you have done to your Freelander that you could not live without. My iPad is old and worn out like me so please accept that the numbers go every now and then😉

Just a child so take on the World but to do that exercise and good food a must.

My car is and will remain standard as it’s there to do job. If I want to scare someone there is a toy in the garage that belongs to my partner.

Thanks Yorky Bob! I wasn't thinking of anything major like the picture. Just the odd thing like maybe an upgrade of the sound system maybe the odd chrome but here and there. However I shall take your advice and think carefully.

Welcome! Checkout Powerful UK for chrome and other goodies which you can get for your Freelander. Everyone`s taste is different so what you might like won`t appeal to others (and vice versa). None of them will be must have things however and only things that (in your eyes ) make your car a bit more personal. I have done very little to mine as it is already an HSE but did add chrome door handles in place of the grey ones, Dynamic front and rear spoilers because I liked the look and 2 reversing cameras as I do a lot of towing and they help with hitching up a trailer. I also changed all the interior bulbs and puddle lamps to LED to brighten up the interior and added a rechargeable torch /boot light as although I have loads of torches I can never find one when I need it! Edit as I was slowly typing this Largered has beaten me to it!

It is probably better to avoid doing anything with the car that requires fiddling around with the electrics unless you really know what you are doing.

Rubber floor mats are a good start if you have not got them. An add on wireless reversing camera if the XS doesn't have one. Worth their weight in gold & the best safety feature! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Hi , Welcome , Best thing you can buy as an accessory is something like a Rhino boot liner . It will let you keep everything nice and clean whilst you use your Freelander for all sorts . They go in the washer too . https://rhinoukbootlinersltd.co.uk/

Other than that to be fair there is not much more the car really need , as the guys say rubber mats , get genuine LR . If you don’t have a spare wheel of some sort and jack kit , then pop that on the list .

I believe that the FL2 looks best with the 19 inch polished alloys, tinted windows and spoiler. (I would say that wouldn't I)

The XS has a reasonable sound system as standard, but although the boot floor inverts to reveal a good solid cleanable surface to use, the cabin needs some good (LR) mats to keep it nice.

The SD4 is the best engine/gearbox combination, and will whisk you around without much of a problem and in some style.
