Yes bolted to the front crash bar, behind the bumper.

Land Rover/Dixon Bate hitch fitted to my F1.
R2R Team replaced it with a tow ball.

Practical. However there was a special bar behind the bumper that replaced the crash bar set-up.

Thanks! So it's bolted using the existing bolts and holes? Or did you drill new holes to the crash bar? I guess the latter wouldn't be a good idea since it would probable compromise it's structural strength, right?

I'd like to see how you did it so that I can do the same on my freely.

Hi, First you have to strengthen the cross bay, before you drill it.

I used a towbar from a Jeep Compass, due to it having the US receiver already attached. Its made from 50mm box steel 6mm wall.

It is not 'rocket Science' to drill and bolt together. Cool

I'm an Olde Engineer in both mechanical and electrical/electronic engineering.

What do you mean by "strengthen the cross bay". I didn't get that.
