I joined this forum for the helpful information we can all share and help each other but what i find is that if when folk start asking every one starts getting funny telling them "stop asking and use search"(like where all lazy idiots) which is sometimes hard to find exactly what your looking for without open loads of entry's so why not ask and why not help if you can with out being rude

The search function on the whole works well. Sometimes I try to improve my low IQ searching with different words beyond my tunnel view. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

A little bit of "respect" and "patience" goes a long way and whilst a topic may have been covered before the way in which we approach forum members (possibly new) sets the tone for the rest of the forum.

My plea is for people to use specific details in the subject headings. Headings like "help!!!" or "odd noise" are not helpful. Things like "wheel wobble at reaching 50mph" helps readers to decide quickly if the post is interesting or if one could offer advice or not. Jules |

As an example this post might have been better called " Should we criticise posters for not searching ?" With respect to the OP of course. Jules |

The search function is great and can really help to limit repeat questions, but one of the joys of a forum such as this is the way threads meander through wider topics with occasional forays that are way off the original thread! While a very straight, one question/one answer forum might be technically useful it would be much less enjoyable!

Point one I for one have spotted traders joining to bleed info from members and then off never to be seen again.

By way of confirming what’s already been said, search ‘Rant Over’ and it throws up four pages |

I am hoping that the members who post regularly on this forum really do want to help.

theres obviously times when a question doesn't answer your exact query, instead of starting a new thread, why not ask on the already started one
