Does it have something to do with the 'Select' push button switch on the end of the stalk ??

OK. I believe the difference is the Rain Sensor. Early wipers have a pre-select mode for intermittent wipe.. later models have a high. low and Auto mode, the rain sensor determines the 'auto' wipe.

Thanks for the reply again, and apologies for the mix up. The guy selling the wiper stalk states that it's off a 2008 and the same spec' as mine. I will double check though before placing the order. |

Bit basic I know but have you checked the pipes are not blocked and pump is working, On a grand vitara I had the back and front washers were on a different pump.???? If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

Yes. The pump is working because the back washer works. Checked pipes too and all seem okay. When using the back washer, you can here the pump, but nothing when the front is tried. I've been told it's not the fuse (as the back is working) and not the pump. Not sure what it is, so going to buy a 2nd hand stalk and hope for the best. |

According to what another member told me, it's just the one pump. |

Yes the FL2 has a single pump. The FL1 had two separate pumps.
