Yes, comes off really easily and even goes back on just as easily!

Not normally something loose, but the rear wiper is prone to water running down the shaft into the motor, resulting in the tailgate needing opened up to take the motor apart and fix it. Plenty of others have the tailgate release switch pack up, again resulting in the tailgate panel being removed. So taking that panel off seems to be a pretty routine part of FL2 ownership. Chances are someone has done this to yours and forgotten to tighten something up.

With mine it's the small trim at the top. The one you remove to get to the high brake light.
