Scotland 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Zermatt Silver
Fuses

Had the rear wiper stop (again) yesterday and before pulling the motor to re-grease the spindle (again), I checked the fuse just in case it had blown (it hadn’t).

Surprised to see that nearly all the fuse positions are filled, even some that the manual suggests are blank and some that are for things I don’t have (like electric seats, sun-roof etc). There are no post-production add-ons on my FL2, so presumably these fuses are not doing anything. Is it one of these things where it is cheaper for the factory just to fit them all out the same and fit a standard fuse panel already filled with fuses in to the car on the production line? 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

Suggest you get a cheap tester and see whats live sometime or pull a fuse or two and see what barks at you. That will answer your question and its nice to know what unused fuses you could rob out if needed. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Cheaper to install a full fuse box than lose time picking and choosing what fuses are needed per model

Even to the extent of a full wiring loom been installed, without the electric seats, heated seats, sunroof etc etc Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
