United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Stornoway Grey
Landrover independent West Midlands

Hi all,
I have just joined the community as a new owner of a 2008 FL2, and wondered if anyone can recommended an independent in the West Midlands area. The reason is I am looking to get a new fob programmed to my car and also to get cruise control activated on my poverty “S” model, after I fit the switch to my steering wheel.
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Cheers,
Mart,

Hi Martw, welcome to the madhouse Laughing

Im originally from your neck of the woods and have used

http://www.ultimate4x4specialists.co.uk/

not used them for a few years now but they were owned and staffed by ex LR guys who were brilliant.

also dont forget that as yours is a 2008 model it may be due its 10 years service which is a big one, but there is site sponsor on here Austen @ Bell engineering who is the fountain of everything FL2 transmission related (diffs, gearbox, Haldex) and he is based just outside Bewdley only a few miles from you.

Hi RogB,
Cheers for the welcome and advice, I will give ultimate 4x4 a call in the morning, and keep my fingers crossed that I don’t need to speak to Bell Engineering anytime soon!
Also thanks for mentioning the 10 year service, I am planning to do as much of the work myself as I can (including the cam belt and water pump), hence my joining this forum- for the wealth of knowledge and shared expertise!

All the best,
Mart.
