As the title suggests, I would like to know how long it would normally take to swap a turbo? What would be involved in the process?

According to Topix:

Remove EGR, remove CAT, repalce Turbo.

Have not done it myself - have a good look in the search on here. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green
Evoque SD4 Auto Blue.
FL1 HSE TD4 Manual Black - Gone.
RR Classic V8 EFI - Gone

I had a look for replacement timescales but could not find anything. The second part of my question about what is involved was a bit of an afterthought which had a less thorough search.

Also, why would you need to remove the EGR as it's on the opposite Side of the engine. I know the exhaust would need to be disconnected from the turbo but not the 'removal' of the CAT?
