Satnav wiring

Looking to hard wire my Garmin satnav (Or install a cigar lighter plug) somewhere on drivers side (UK RHD) as the supplied cable isnt long enough to be routed invisibly over to the passengers side fuse box. Is there a convenient ignition live feed anywhere accessible on drivers side that I could install a socket? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

I removed the centre consol which give you access to a switched live and a perm live .these are the supplies to the consol 12volt sockets .front switched live ,rear perm live.then extended up to the centre of the dash behind the box ,recess.the whole consol has a plug to supply it behind the rear ashtray, where you access the handbrake adjusters.

This the one youre referring to?
I assume the proceedure is much the same on a facelifted version with electric handbrake and terrain response controls behind the gear selector? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
