You'd think oil pressure would be useful thing to know.

I had to install a gauge in the LR2's predecessor, hell I might have a go if I feel brave

Is it because the oil pressure sensor has a simple a binary state ie adequate or inadequate oil pressure, rather than a continuous variable output ? Jules |

I have no idea, I need to check JLR SDD to see if it's even available there as telemetry. |

Jules is right, only a pressure switch exists, not a pressure transducer.

Great info Paul, thank you! And, no, I am not seeing the oil light on the dash, thank goodness.....was just thinking it's useful to have a gauge or a torque pro custom PID. Heck, I will see if I can find the indent just for kicks. I liked having the oil pressure analogue gauge on my previous vehicle . |

I was taught that if you see an oil pressure warning light while the engine was running it was already too late! |
