I started my car this morning and the car was fine, tick over was ok. I put it into drive and I thought the car was about to stall!! I put the car into park and revved the engine and it was struggling to go over 1500 RPM. After a few seconds of revving the car seemed fine. No issues on the way to work.

I’ve just tried the car again now and similar symptoms. Engine sluggish again at 1500 RPM, after a few revs the car looks to be fine. Has anyone any ideas what it might be? Both times the engine has been cold. Also I’ve just had the car serviced this month which included a new fuel filter. Ive got a basic fault code reader at home which I’ll plug into the car tonight and see if it comes up with any codes. Could it be the air intake valve sticking almost closed, but freeing up with heat? I think that would be a P02E9 code. Seems to be a common fault. 2005 D3 2.7 Auto
