I think that you are confusing Xenon discharge lamps which are like a continuous electronic flash off a camera with tungsten filament bulbs which have Xenon gas inside. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

the factory D1S bulb's temperature color on freelanders (and on most of ths cars with factory fitted xenon) must be 4300 K. Ans yes the New BMWs Audi and Mercedes are most around 6000 K (more blue than pure white, what you '"see" yellow.

I’m interested in changing my xenon bulbs in my hid lamps, was thinking of using the gen 2 Philips or the osram unlimiteds, no worries re colour, I’m more interested in light output. My hid bulbs have started to lose a little output due to age so just want to get the best I can |

VAG cars come with 5200K from the factory. I would have a stab and guess Merc and BMW are the same as knowing Germany there will most likely be a common law.
