Rolling with laughter

Blaming any inanimate object is obviously futile, but given I'm probably going to be a few grand out of pocket before I finally get it sorted I will allow myself this one pleasure...

All the blame lies squarely on my shoulders. Having had Land Rovers for 10+ yrs I should have known to buy Japanese. Laughing

Yes, I think you're right. I have an addiction to spending my weekends lying on my back, covered in grease and banging my knuckles Very Happy

Still have my Disco Td5 which has so far managed the elements, but best by far was my old tdi300, '97 3-door. Did everything I asked but died of rust cancer...

No great surprise but the saga continues....

Finally had to bite the bullet and take it to Chez Land Rover as my usual 'reliable' garage failed miserably. After an initial diagnostic and a check of the geometry the car has been deemed unfit to drive 😐.

Essentially the garage that has worked on the car should be struck off : geometry way out, shock absorber out of line, a double-nut used on a tie rod and everything has been 'forced to fit'. Couldn't have been done any worse.

A great lesson, and probably a very costly lesson learnt.

If anyone is looking for a LHD HSE for spares/repair give me a buzz 🤓
