I have just replaced the drivers side mirror that was wiped out by van man(who did not stop of course),
I have a 59 plate hse auto,with electric folding memory type which are linked to the seats and dip when going into reverse.
the mirror I got is from a facelift hse so only difference is the color coded cap.
the fitting was straight foreward after watching the excellent youtube vid by "powerful uk"all works fine except going into reverse it does not dip,i checked the handbook,set it on which memory(mine or swmbo,s)seat position but it still does not remember the seat/mirror dip position.
anyone out there who can help please

Td5 auto head gasket,no5 pot not uncommon but good car.
1st Tdv6s manual epb problem fixed under warranty(stealer said"never heard of this before,i suggested he looked at d3 forum.
2nd Tdv6 se auto epb
3rd Tdv6 xs auto 2008,swmbo,s favourite.

Set it up normal, press memory. Put it in reverse, adjust mirror to your liking then when you come out of reverse it should go back to normal and then dip next time you select reverse. I think! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

update to above
started car put into reverse set mirror to my preference pressed mem then pressed my seat position(2) this came up on the info screen, put shift back into park but mirror stayed in the lower position,tried this a couple of times but still no good.
anyone else got an idea please?
I know its not the end of the world but if something is supposed to work I would like it to. gone
