I guess that pre 2011 (ie those without a DPF) will be Euro 4 and post 2011 Euro 5 . 2011 was when the "organ pipes" disappeared from the air intake pipe. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Yes you are correct, but I've edited my post after reading a bit more. I know Lyn's car is Euro 4 but what gets me is that she does about 4000 miles a year. When I was working we had " reps" in "green" cars driving 60,000 miles a year on minimal tax surely that is more of an issue ? certainly would be when I consider that 70% of the Fleet was VAG.. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

Headline on BBC says which don't meet latest standards - so anything worse than Euro 6 I guess.

Even if it does affect us, that's an extra £40 a year - half a tank of fuel.

So it seems only new cars not meeting what I assume must be Euro 7, and then only first year registration.

So now we have 1) RFL 2) First Year Premium up on Diesels 3) greater than £40K premium for year 2- 6 inclusive. On the right ( or wrong) sort of vehicle you could pay £3000 to use the thing over that six year period before it even turns a wheel ! 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
